- It allows the preparation of perfect mixtures with the colour pigments
- With its high fineness, perfect surfaces are obtained when appropriate moulds are used
- It gives high final compressive strength as compared to CEM II 42.5 grey cement
- Allows making of larger elements without development of cracks
- It is economical
Application Process
- The surface to be painted should be free from oil, grease, dust, dirt particles, efflorescence and even loose chalky material. It should be cleaned by scraping, scrubbing or wire brushing
- If the surface is too smooth then an undercoat of special cement primer should be applied
- After cleaning, the surface should be thoroughly soaked with clean water for 5 to 10 seconds and the action should be repeated 3 to 4 times depending on the absorption of the surface. The moisture must be properly absorbed. The surface should be considered ready for cement wash only when the sprayed water starts evaporating from it or running down
- Slowly add 2 parts of JK White Cement WhiteMaxX to 1 part of clean, potable water. Stir continuously and mix thoroughly to obtain a creamy consistency
- Wait for 5 to 10 minutes, then dilute the mix further by adding an additional 1 part (or more) of water, until the mix is of brushable consistency
- If the surface is old or of lime, add 10% to 15% of white glue adhesive (by weight) in water and apply as an undercoat
- Apply one coat on the prepared and pre-wetted wall by brush or spray
- After 6 to 8 hours of drying, spray the surface with water
- After overnight drying, apply a second coat. Normally two to three coats are sufficient for a good finish
